A Journey towards a Vision
ESF Private Limited is the result of the visionary journey of two friends (under grad students) A K Azad & A M Mashuqur Rahman who embarked on their entrepreneurial path in their 20s. What began as a small venture in RMG related trading grew into a conglomerate with a strong presence in telecommunications and other sectors.
In the early 2000s, ESF diversified into telecommunications and quickly established itself as a pioneer in the field. Representing renowned global telecom companies such as iBasis-KPN, Belgacom, Meucci Solutions, Utiba, and others, ESF formed partnerships with government organizations like Bangladesh Telephone and Telegraph Board (BTTB) at present BTCL and Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC), further solidifying its position in the industry. Also given enormous support to IGW, (International Gateway) in Bangladesh.
Slowly they have expanded their wings to different sectors leveraging the needs of the country’s enormous growth.
In the 2018, ESF’s founders took a step by partnering with BRAC to acquire a significant stake in edotco Bangladesh, the largest tower company in the country. This acquisition is one of the largest in the telecom industry, positioned the founders of ESF as a local partner and shareholder in the tower industry in Bangladesh, which is majority-owned by Axiata-backed edotco Malaysia.

In 2019, ESF Private Limited underwent a structural transformation, transitioning into a private limited company with a focus on renewable energy and fund-related services. To spearhead their efforts in the renewable energy sector, ESF established a subsidiary named Projectech Limited, collaborating with industry experts to develop waste-to-energy solutions. At this moment Projectech being selected to do some waste to energy project in Bangladesh and progressing to furnish their first project and few are already underlined to accomplish as well.
ESF’s strategic expansion into renewable energy and fund-related services showcases their dedication to innovation and sustainable business practices, positioning them as a forward-thinking player in the industry.
In 2021, ESF has been actively leveraging its expertise in partnering with ACME Laboratories as financing organization and successfully raising funds for ACME Pharmaceuticals as a co-partner. In addition, the company has ventured into petrochemicals trading, with a focus on Nafta and condensate.
ESF has also been recognized for its innovation, being awarded the national forest inventory pilot project in collaboration with its partners from Malaysia and the Czech Republic. This pioneering technology in the forestry sector sets ESF apart.
Furthermore, ESF is committed to enhancing food security and is actively working on establishing black soldier fly protein feeds for poultry, animals, and fisheries. The company’s efforts in this area highlight its commitment to sustainable food production.
The core personnel of the company also ventured into the hotel and resort industry, forming a new entity named MARINE COAST SPA AND RESORTS LIMITED. The company has already acquired substantial land along the marine drive of Cox’s Bazar and Teknaf Road, where they plan to build their future resort.
